It is truly the ultimate ESCAPE.
"Floating is the act of utilizing a "flotation tank", also known as a "sensory deprivation chamber". It is most often used as a method for relaxation and to boost creativity. It can allow one to engage in a deep meditative state, regardless of meditation experience.
Floating is becoming an increasingly popular practice in society, including for many celebrities and top athletes, such as Joe Rogan and Steph Curry.
A flotation tank is pretty simple: it contains 6-12 inches of sterile of water around body temperature (filtered after every usage). In the water, there are over 800 lbs of medical-grade Epsom salts to ensure that anyone can float.
The reason that a flotation tank is sometimes called a sensory deprivation chamber is because it is entirely light-proof (completely dark) and sound-proof.
You simply put in ear plugs (located in each room), slowly enter the tank, lie on your back, and relax. You will feel entirely weightless and free. You have the option of soothing sounds to begin and end your float.
NOTE: the tank is not air-tight, ensuring there is plenty of oxygen.
Especially in today's day and age, we are exposed to countless stimuli, which can leave our bodies in a state of stress, causing numerous health problems.
Entering a float tank (with most sessions being 60-90 minutes) can significantly minimize this stress, yielding numerous benefits.
While at some times, it may feel a bit overwhelming to be in a completely dark and quiet environment. Sometimes it helps to keep your eyes closed during the duration of the float to avoid disorientation. When entering/exiting the tank, please be careful, so as to avoid slipping or splashing the salty water into your eyes.
While some may find it a bit strange at first, you will likely get used to it and be able to relax after the first few minutes.
If you are floating and find yourself needing a break, the tank has a large door (that can not be locked).
There are three rooms, each with one flotation tank. Each room feels like a luxurious bathroom, and includes numerous towels and toiletries, as well as a warm shower for before and after floating.
