Wow friends and family with with perfect snack recipe for spicy Potato and Cheese pastries
3 potatoes, boiled and cubed
2 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
45ml (3 tbsp) flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
15ml (1 tbsp) garam masala
15ml (1 tbsp) chilli flakes
80ml (1/3 cup) cheddar, finely grated
5 phyllo pastry sheets
45ml (3 tbsp) butter, melted
To make the filling, mix all of the ingredients well together.
Cut the phyllo sheets into 5cm strips and brush with the melted butter.
Spoon a little of the mixture into the bottom of the pastry and to encase the filling, fold by working the pastry from corner to corner to achieve a triangular shape.
In a deep pot, heat enough oil to deep-fry the pastries until golden brown. Drain and serve cold or hot.
