Recipe for a crispy, delicious homemade Focaccia – add the toppings of your choice!

10g dry yeast
5ml sugar
125ml warm water
4 cups flour
5ml Cerebos Mediterranean Sea Salt Flakes
15ml freshly chopped herbs
125ml warm milk
125ml warm water
60ml sunflower oil

Your choice of:
Cerebos Mediterranean Sea Salt Flakes
Sundried tomatoes

How to
Preheat oven to 180°c.

Mix yeast, sugar and warm water and leave to stand and froth.

Place all the other ingredients in a mixing bowl, add the yeast mixture and mix with the dough hook of an electric mixer for 10 minutes.

Place in an oiled bowl and leave to double in size.

Knock the dough back and press into rounds on a baking tray.

Brush with oil and sprinkle with Cerebos Mediterranean Sea Salt Flakes. Allow to rise. You can add olive, herbs or sundried tomatoes at this stage. Be as creative as you wish, then bake at 180°c for 30-45 minutes until golden brown.

Serve with Mediterranean dips, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
