Easy recipe for Meringues – serve wedged together with cream or blob of ice-cream, chocolate sauce and ½ a pear
500g Castor Sugar
2 Tablesp Vinegar
2 Tablesp boiling Water
2 tsp. Vanilla Essence
Beat egg whites until stiff
Add Vanilla Castor Sugar & Vinegar
Add Water and beat for 15 mins !!!
Pipe onto baking sheet ( or line tray with non-stick baking paper)
Bake for 1 hr at 100 degrees C
Leave in oven to dry out
When thoroughly cool, wrap in tin foil and place in air-tight container with greaseproof paper in between.
