Spring has got to be the most romantic season of the year. The smells and blossoms out in the garden, the warm, but not too hot weather and the joy at finally being able to go outside

Spend time enjoying the company of the one you love with a springtime picnic is one of the best things to do this weekend.

Why picnics make the perfect date

Movies, restaurant dates and activities like skating and cycling make great dates too, but picnics come out heads and shoulders above all of them because they minimize all the distraction and give your chemistry the room to fire up of fizzle out.

Pick a tranquil spot and connect with your date through face to face conversation (which we really get too little of), simple games like board games and cards and good food.

A platter allows you to pick at the food and graze while you talk and enjoy your food just as much as you enjoy each other’s company
