Made entirely in the microwave, this recipe for Cocoa-nutty sauce makes a great topping for ice cream, cakes or cookies.
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup chunky peanut butter
2-3 tbsp milk (optional)
Prepare the sauce before your main course, for a perfect addition to any dessert!
Mix together the cocoa and sugar in a small, microwave safe mixing bowl.
Stir in evaporated milk and cook uncovered for about 2 to 3 minutes on high until the milk begins to boil. Be sure to stir the mixture once during the cooking. Remove from microwave.
Add peanut butter, stir until well mixed in, and let stand covered for the duration of the main entree.
When ready to serve, add milk if desired until you reach a consistency you like.
Spoon the mixture over a bowl of your favorite ice cream, or top a brownie or a cookie for a tasty treat!
