Not all burgers are made equal. This weight wise greek burger is as healthy as it gets and the perfect treat when you’re watching your waistline.

Ingredients

  • 450g beef mince
  • 2 tbsp fresh wholewheat breadcrumbs
  • ? cup reduced-fat feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped black olives
  • 1 egg
  • 100g red onion
  • Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Finely chop the olives and red onion and mix with the remaining ingredients.
  2. Divide the mixture into six even portions and shape into circular flat disks.
  3. Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. Grill in a hot pan or on a braai grid for five minutes per side.
  5. Serve with burger buns and fillings of your choice.
