This delish cocktail turns red wine into a refreshing drink that everyone will love! It is packed with fun and flavour, so make a big batch to be enjoyed on a long summer’s evening.

Making this red wine cocktail is super easy; all you have to do is make a basil simple syrup, add Shine Club Red Wine and blackberries and then serve over ice.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup blackcurrants
  • 1 box Shine Club Wine Natural Sweet Red
  • Ice for serving

How to

  1. In a small pot over medium heat add the water, sugar, and basil leaves.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and allow syrup to steep and cool for 30 minutes.
  4. Add the steeped syrup to a large jug along with the blackberries.
  5. Pour in the Shine Club Wine Natural Sweet Red and mix together.
  6. Fill serving glasses with ice and more blackberries and top with the sangria mixture.
