A delicious American recipe for The Best Burger Sammich

Ingredients
Burger mixture
453g Ground Angus Beef/80% lean-20% Fat
1/2 Medium Yellow Onion, minced or shredded
2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
Salt to taste, approximately 1/2-1 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Tablespoon Mazola Corn Oil/ olive oil + 1/2 more

Topping:
1 Plain Greek Yogurt (5.8oz-150g)
2 Tablespoon Fresh Dill, chopped
2 rashers Bacon, Grilled
1 slice American Cheese

Bread:
Italian Bread Loaf, Sliced and Grilled or you may use buns

How to
In medium sized bowl combine all the ingredients for the burger, mix with your hands (use gloves if you don’t like to touch the meat). Cover with the plastic wrap and put in the fridge for at least 30 minutes-it could be also in the fridge overnight. Once rested for at least 30 minutes, take fist size meat ball and shape the patties. Cover and put on the side until ready for grilling.

Meanwhile, combine plain Greek yogurt with chopped dill, cover and put in the fridge until ready for serving.
Preheat the outdoor or indoor grill and pour about 1/2 Tablespoon of Oil in the plate and dip your fingers into it, take each patty and pat with your oily fingers before placing it on the grill.

Grill on both sides according to your preferences, approximately 3-5 minutes per side depending how big your patties are.

Put bacon and sliced bread or bun on the grill and cook for less than a minute, just until it gets nice grill marks and crispy.

Assembly:
On the grilled bread slice or bun, place American cheese, then add hot beef patty following bacon and dollop of Greek yogurt with dill. You can add more toppings such as arugula which goes very well with it, but I find this perfect just the way it is.
