Marika Sboros is a South African journalist, writer and editor who commutes between London and Johannesburg. She is now founder, publisher and editor of Foodmed.net. Marika started her journalism career at the Rand Daily Mail newspaper in Johannesburg as a general news reporter, covering politics and religion before moving to sub-editing, layout and feature writing on health and lifestyle. She has written for major newspapers in South Africa including The Star as health and lifestyle editor, and Business Day as Health News editor. She writes a regular fitness column and occasional features for Business Day. Marika has worked in radio in South Africa, reporting on health and lifestyle. She has co-authored two books on the brain, memory and optimum learning, has a BA degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, and has been a student of traditional Chinese and Japanese martial arts for the past 25 years.
