Award-winning chef Jackie Cameron has put together a glorious selection of treats in her latest release, Baking with Jackie Cameron. Chapters are broken down into Biscuits, Breads, Cakes, Desserts/Puddings, Pies/Tarts and Small Cakes, as well as a section on cook’s notes and baking tips.

The recipes cover the spectrum of baking, both large and small to both savoury and sweet. With over 80 recipes and more than 50 mouth-watering photographs, Baking with Jackie Cameron is truly a must-have for keen bakers or people who would like to hone their culinary skills.

One of the stand-out features of these recipes is the unique South African touch that Jackie adds to her baking thereby creating a dish that is reassuringly familiar yet intriguingly different. Love old-school trifle? Jackie’s version, made with malva pudding, Amarula crème anglaise and dried-fruit compote, yields an explosion of flavours that, once tasted, makes total sense. Or how about Naartjie and Cardamom Cake, or Amadumbe Bread?
