The struggle for working moms is a very real one. Life is one big rush: Waking up at the crack of dawn, getting yourself ready for work, kids ready for school, then there’s dinner, homework, bath time, and all of that has to be done on time and to a schedule.
You spend eight or more hours at work wishing you spent more time with your children, and in the time that you do spend with your children, you worry about everything that is going on at work.
You get stuck in an endless cycle of tedious tasks, sleep deprivation and stress, and you feel like you are just all over he place – you start wondering: “Is this my life now?”
Lucky for us, there are several tips and techniques to manage a healthy work-life balance:
Live in the now
On many occasions your load can overflow into your personal life, or vice versa. Try to develop routines and habits that allow you to be as efficient as possible. If possible finish all your work at the office, and don’t take your laptop home. Its important to be one hundred percent in the moment – throw yourself into your work at the office, and be one hundred percent in the moment when spending time with your family.
