Boity Thulo shocked fans in June when she revealed that she was officially a trained sangoma

The TV and radio personality remained mum about her traditional healer journey for weeks, but finally shared a picture of herself dressed in traditional sangoma attire.

“They Called. I Answered. The Proudest, most incredible day of my life. A Beautiful Gift that I will never take for granted,” she said about becoming a sangoma.

Since then, fans have been bombarding the 25-year-old with questions like, how does being a traditional healer affect her religion, and will she change her celebrity lifestyle?

Two questions that seemed to come up a lot are whether she will dress more conservatively, and if she is ‘allowed’ to wear weaves?

While promoting her upcoming MTV TV show, Ridiculousness Africa, Boity set the record straight.

During an interview with 94.7’s Anele Mdoda, she was asked if she was allowed to wear weaves.

“Yes, as long as I can take it off when need be,” she said.

Boity added that there is a time for everything, and just because she is a sangoma does not mean she cannot be herself and do the things she loves

She did, however, stress that when it comes to “private stuff’ like being a traditional healer, she is always respectful.

As far as dressing conservatively goes, Boity continues to flaunt her amazing curves in sexy outfits, so we guess that is acceptable as well.

Just don’t expect Boity to show up for a consultation in a barely-there outfit!
