Take care of your weight

The management of your weight is in your hands. Here are some ways to help you maintain a healthy weight.

Exercise

Ensure that you are engaging in an exercise routine daily. Chat to a physical trainer if you need assistance in putting an exercise routine together for yourself.

Always remember to consult with your doctor before starting any new exercise regime or making intense changes to your current one – especially if you suffer from any medical conditions and for some reason are required not to place your body or yourself under any form of stress or strain.

Sleep

Make sure that you are getting sufficient sleep as your body needs this rest to recharge and function optimally. Going to sleep too late may leave you hungry and you would need to be cautious about which foods you turn to during the late hours of the night.

Keep track of what you eat

Consider keeping track of the foods and beveragesyou consume by keeping a food diary. Be sure to also note down how certain meals affect your performance, mood and behaviour. Remember foods that are high in fat or sugar will be high in calories.
