Having impressed the judges of SABC 3’s Presenter Search on 3, Chris Jaftha has now landed a coveted presenting gig on Top Billing. Still, that’s not the only thing keeping the model and former fine art student busy.

If you were a drink at a bar, you’d be a…
Water. As boring as it is, you’ve gotta stay hydrated. Someone’s gotta be water right?

What’s your idea of the perfect date?
I’m a simple kinda guy. As long as the view, food and drinks are great then I’m good. The company is what’s most important though.

When you were little you wanted to be…
A plastic surgeon. I wanted to help those who’ve had accidents and things that have gone wrong physically. Not for aesthetic reasons.

Your biggest relationship deal breaker is…
Bad hygiene and ugly feet.

What do you like to do for fun or to relax?
I haven’t done it in a while but I enjoy taking my super bike to the track. Or early on a Sunday morning I’d go for a long ride with my bro and dad. I enjoy going to movies alone as well, I find it therapeutic.

If you could instantly download three skills or super powers like an app what would they be?
To be the smartest person in the world (is that a super power?), to fly and infinitely duplicate myself. This way I could achieve everything I want which is ultimately to help others.

Right now, what are you completely obsessed with?
Europa art shoes. They’ve got great shoes for men and I’m very fussy when it comes to shoes. Ladies, you have some competition!image2

What would people be surprised to know about you?
I’m an artist. I haven’t practiced in a while, but yes, I studied fine art.

What’s been keeping you busy lately?
Top Billing first and foremost. I’ve also been MCing a lot and will be Mcing a fundraiser for Tamzin Vesanjee’s (a Mrs SA Finalist) Cuppa for CANSA on Saturday 28 June, as well as a few events for the South African National Blood Service as I’m a goodwill ambassador for them. I also work closely with the Field Band foundation and Jam South Africa (I’m a goodwill ambassador for them too) and they’re all doing a fantastic job. Support them if you can and don’t forget to donate blood. I also have some acting projects in the pipeline but I can’t reveal that now.image3What are you most looking forward to this year?
The results of the hard work that I’ve been putting in. I don’t know how it’s going to materialise but I’m excited to see how it all pans out.

How can we stalk you online?
I’m @chrisjaftha on twitter, Instagram and snapchat and am Christopher Jaftha on Facebook.
