3. Sprint intervals

Go out into the street and warm up by jogging slowly for five minutes. Then:

  • 30 seconds – sprint (85% of your fastest speed)
  • 30 seconds – jog 

Repeat six to eight times. For best results you should do this by sprinting up a slight incline and jogging down.
