5. Avoid alcohol and caffeine
Alcohol and caffeine are both things that will make you tired if you consume too much of them. For me, two cups of coffee per day is the limit in terms of caffeine, and one alcoholic beverage per day in terms of alcohol.
Any more than this, and I find myself getting into a less-than-ideal energy state. Being reliant on either of these as a way of stabilizing yourself is a bad idea, and only a short-term fix.
