Step 1: Find a niche to fill
Before you can start your business and build it into a successful enterprise, you need to do some research to find out what your local market, or any market, needs. Once you have established a gap in the market, you will be able to offer something unique.
So an important first step is to identify the needs of your marketplace and then be ready to fill those needs in whatever way you can. If you cannot fulfil those needs yourself, find somebody to assist you, so that you can refer your newfound clients to them and make some money in the process.
2. Identify something that you love doing
If you can find something that really inspires you and can then do something that you love to do, whilst offering a service to others, then you will have a successful business.
This way, you will not only fulfil the needs of others, but you will fulfil your own needs as well. So consider what the gap is in the market, and then think about what you could do to fill it that would inspire you. If you can do this, then you will be able to get up each morning and enjoy servicing the needs of others.
3. Work out your highest priority actions
Ask yourself what the highest priority actions are that you need to fulfil both your needs and the needs of others. This needs to cover all aspects of the business, including marketing, advertising, sales, research, development and so on.
When you work on these top priorities and delegate lower priorities to others, you will certainly increase your profits. This way, no details are overlooked, but you concentrate on what really counts.

4. Delegate lower priority tasks to others
By doing this, you are not only giving yourself the chance to do high priority tasks, but you’re also using experts in their fields to do the tasks you aren’t able or qualified to do, tasks that they enjoy doing. This is a win-win situation.
5. Maximise your profits
Make sure your service is efficient and effective. Don’t do anything that is unnecessary. Streamline your procedures and simplify your processes.
Ask yourself the following questions every day and don’t leave the office until you have answered them:
· “What worked and what didn’t work today?”
· “How can I do what I do more effectively and efficiently tomorrow?”
· “What can I streamline?”
· “What can I standardise?”
· “What can I simplify?”
· “What proven steps can I add to my daily checklist today so I don’t have to occupy or distract my brain with it tomorrow?
6. Keep your eyes open
Research constantly for new opportunities that will help you keep your business at its best. Keep up with trends and look for new ways to make your services popular. When you constantly up your game, your business will grow.
7. Get your message across[tweetthis]Inspire your staff with your vision. Make sure you give them tasks that align with their highest values[/tweetthis]. This way they will be inspired to do the work and to fulfil your clients’ needs.
In the same way, communicate your offering using your clients’ highest values. Discover what is most important to them, and then give this to them. Get regular feedback so that you can meet their requirements correctly.
8. Save some of your profits
The more you earn, the more you should save to ensure that you will always be liquid and your business will be stable. Once you have enough cash, invest it so that you have a reserve in case you need it.
9. Make your money work for you
If your money is working for you, you won’t have to work for your money. The more money you have, the more you can invest into your own business and into others. Money flows where money goes. If you manage your money wisely, you will find that you have more money to manage.
10. Grow your business vision
To reach your business’s full potential you need to expand your vision regularly. Those who have a vision will flourish. Those who have a great cause, who wish to serve the world, touch it and leave their legacy, will do so.
