Cleansing both your body and face is the first step in any beauty routine. If your pores aren’t clean and clear, or if you have old, dead skin cells clogging up your complexion, any other lotions and potions you apply afterwards won’t be able to penetrate to their best ability, leaving you with getting less bang for your buck.

Aside from cleansing well, it’s important you use the right products that are formulated for your skin type. If you’ve yet to meet your dream ‘come clean’ products to help you scrub up nicely, you’ll be glad to know that a nice selection of new facial cleansers, washes and wipes, as well as bath and shower products, have recently hit the shelves and I thought I’d show a few of them off.

Johnson’s Oil Control Cleansing Bar (R13,95) and Facial Wash (R49,95) for normal to oily skinrange

Johnson’s new Oil Control facial skincare line makes use of grapefruit and lemongrass extracts as well as oil absorbers to help keep your complexion shine-free for up to eight hours. Both the cleansing bar and facial wash contain glycerine so as to not dry out your skin and boast a zesty, uplifting grapefruit scent that’s sure to help get your day off to a fresh start.
