A newborn baby was brought into the Banner Thunderbird Medical Centre in Glendale, Arizona, by her father shortly after she was born at home to her drug addicted mother.
According to The Mirror, the self-confessed drug addict father brought his daughter in for a check-up, but then panicked and thought his baby would be taken away from him by authorities.
Baby had traces of drugs in her system
According to police, the baby girl had traces of morphine, marijuana and methamphetamine in her system.
Security footage shows him walking calmly out of the doors of the hospital with a plastic bag. His two-day-old baby girl was stuffed into the bag along with a blanket to ‘keep her warm’.
Police arrested him at his home shortly after the baby was taken, and have charged him with child abuse and drug possession.
