Pretty and practical home décor tips
Today we have Angelique Victor, operations manager of Florstore OnTrend, a showroom housing top décor and design supplies, sharing her pretty and practical tips for making the most of a home…
1. In the kitchen
The latest trend is for families and friends to congregate in the kitchen, much like it used to be in the ‘good old days’. This means that, not only does the kitchen need to be functional, it should also be an environment which lends itself to informal conversation and relaxation.
A practical but also aesthetically appealing option would be to install Arbour Floor, Como or Aspen Luxury Vinyl. Resilient vinyl is hygienic, 100 percent waterproof, absorbs sound and added to that, is offered in a wide variety of colours and design.
2. In the bathroom
A candlelit bathroom is what every woman dreams of at the end of a long day – throw-in Hansgrohe’s Select Shower range which boasts an elegant button that requires a single click to change the spray type or water control in the shower and quite simply, all her stress can be washed away – even if it is only for 20 minutes.
3. Outdoor entertaining area
Belgotex’s Duraturf or Van Dyck’s Easigrass complemented with pore-filled Quartz Carpet will create a very modern atmosphere for outdoor entertaining. It’s easy to clean, attractive to the eye and well-priced for long-lasting wear.
4. In the baby’s room
A baby’s room needs to be soothing, comfortable and stimulating all at the same time. Van Dyck’s Wall Expression carpet tile range helps create a vivid backdrop for endless hours of entertainment while an engineered wood supplied by Eco Oak covered with a Shaggy Exclusive plush rug will generate an ambience of warmth and luxury.
