If you have been looking for some fitness inspiration then this 90-year-old fitness bunny is what you have been waiting for.

Takishima Mika is a fitness instructor who started exercising at the age of 65 after deciding to join a gym.

The petite bodied woman is the oldest instructor in Japan and has been inspiring many around the world and helping many stay fit and healthy.

Takishima, who is popularly known as Takimika, revealed that she was previously overweight.

She told nippon.com that she decided to start exercising after her husband made a comment about her weight. She has since lost 15kg.

Her love for training is what has made her to not stop working out and led her to eventually become a trainer herself at the age of 87.

She teaches classes at the gym she started exercising at as well as does online classes.

Her favourite workouts

She enjoys walking as well as jogging. Her other favourite exercises are weight training, cardio and other workouts.

What she eats

Takishima eats a well-balanced breakfast which includes eggs, pickles and fruits like bananas. Her dinner includes chicken, vegetable soup containing cabbage, mushrooms, carrots and potatoes.

She also treats herself from time to time by enjoying cake as a cheat meal.
