Jub Jub meets Babes & Mampintsha
As host of Uyajola 9/9 and You Promised To Marry Me, Jub Jub is the undisputed local king of reality TV drama.
So when a trailer for a new show titled Impilo starriing the couple and their rocky romance was released, Mzansi was shook once again.
In the promo, Babes can be seen assaulting Mampintsha who becomes emotional on camera. The couple are also seen partying and fighting, all whilst being filmed.
Mampintsha later halted production of the show through a court order

The ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ poster
Babes & Mampintsha were publicly grilled after a poster of the ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ nationwide tour rubbed fans up the wrong way.
In the image, Babes is seen hiding in a bathroom, whilst Mampintsha is pictured waiting outside – armed with a gun.
To many, this was an eerily reminder of another tragic incident – that of Oscar Pistorius shooting and killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013
I don’t think Mampintsha and Babes have seen Bonnie & Clyde. They look like they’re about to take each other out like Mr & Mrs Smith pic.twitter.com/Ei8jrWkGsL

Pressing charges – and later dropping them
Charges of assault were laid against Mampintsha following the viral video, and the court showdown which ensued was equally dramatic.
An angry Mampintsha called for Babes to be arrested in an interview, whilst she was pictured doing the vosho outside court. Later warrants of arrest for the couple were issued after they both were a no-show.
Babes later withdrew the charges with claims the couple were seeking counselling through mediation.
#Mampintsha addresses the media outside court. He says this is a plot to disgrace him. He’s also accusing #BabesWodumo of being under the influence and assaulting him too. @OpenNewsSA pic.twitter.com/luFnVjhiC9

A public proposal
In October last year, Mampintsha decided to pop the question to Babes during a live radio interview – and she duly accepted!
