If you’re trying to cut down on your sugar in taking or cut it out completely these helpful hacks might come in handy.

Add a little something extra

Adding salt to sweet foods can make the sweet taste stand out more. This works well with chocolate and even oatmeal.
Adding a little salt to your oatmeal when you cook it will help you cut down on the amount of sugar you need to enjoy it.
Adding other flavours like vanilla and cinnamon, even mint can help bring out the sweetness in foods and drinks. This is a great way to bring out the sweetness of a small amount of sugar in a cup of tea or coffee.

Bake with fruit

Using fruit instead of actual sugar in your baking can add both flavour and sweetness to your bakes even if the fruit flavour isn’t what you are looking for.
Purée apples and pears and have a neutral flavour while adding sweetness and moisture to your bakes.
