South African music sensation Busiswa Gqulu features alongside some of the world’s best-known celebrities, including tennis champion Venus Williams and award-winning actor Lin-Manuel Miranda, in a virtual travel and culture series on Google Arts & Culture…

The series, which sees innovators, creators and celebrities take viewers on a guided tour of their favourite spots in their home cities, is designed to inspire travel and foster cultural exchange in a fresh, entertaining and educational way.

Gqom sensation Busiswa, talks viewers through Johannesburg’s vibrant streets and introduces us to historical events important to her. “Being able to discover more about the Women’s March of 1956 on Google Arts & Culture reminded me of the women who came before me, and of my responsibility to those who will come after me.”

Following last year’s launch, the video format on Google Arts & Culture inspires everyone to explore the world virtually, learning about new cultures and “visiting” breathtaking landmarks around the globe.

In a post on Instagram, she shared news of the collaboration, “Hhaybo guys I teamed up with Google Arts & Culture on their newest video series #PERSPECTIVES Alongside other exceptional “tour guides”,” read the caption.
