You don’t have to break the bank in order to dress like a celeb these days – all it takes is a few staple items in your wardrobe that will transform your outfits from drab to fab!

That’s why the concept of a “wardrobe staple” is so enduring… A closet built on a streamlined selection of items makes day-to-day dressing infinitely easier.

If you don’t know where to begin when it comes to building up the “essentials” section of your closet, the pieces below suggested by our go-to fashion-guru from U/R Italian should serve as an excellent primer.

“For me, fashion is not just ‘business with clothing’ – for me, fashion is everything around me: the way we live, what ideas we have, what we see, how we see others, it is the most intense lived form of art. It is the interpretation of the world around us expressed in clothing. It is also the only true direct way for all people to express themselves,” says Ulrike Bollmann.

This is what Ulrike Bollmann; Owner, Designer and Founder of U/R Italian, had to say when it came to 5 items every woman should own, inspired by celebs.

1 – A good pair of Jeans – inspired by Jeniffer Aniston

I don’t know any woman who does not own at least one good pair of jeans. A good pair of fitting jeans are a true styling all-rounder. You can wear them sportily with sneakers, with a blouse suitable for the office or with high heels and a top for a night out.

2 – A black leather jacket inspired by Kate Moss

A black leather jacket is a true classic wardrobe piece and unbeatable in its versatility – you can play with your looks from being very sporty and casual with jeans, to rock-chic over a sexy evening dress, romantic over maxi-dress and even super elegant and essential over black pants and a silk blouse. A good quality leather jacket could come at a high cost, so one should see it as a longterm investment!

3. A trenchcoat inspired by Victoria Beckham

This is an iconic piece of clothing that belongs in every lady’s wardrobe. Long or short, combined with heels or sneakers – over a jogging suit or directly as a statement dress – it is simply timeless and always appropriate. Plus, what’s fun is that you can get them in so many different colours. If you’re not sure how to style a trench coat, just hop onto social media and see how the celebs are doing it – Victoria Beckham is a pro in this regard!

4. A black pantsuit inspired by Charlize Theron

With a black pantsuit you can never go wrong – and it is so easy to adapt… With a lace top you immediately have an exciting evening outfit; with a simple top you can go out for coffee with your friends; and with a fun blouse you are always a “perfectly dressed businesswoman”! This look always adds that feeling of “sophistication” to ones wardrobe.
