Meghan Markle is expecting her second child, a baby girl with husband Prince Harry. And by the looks of things, she is ready to pop!
The pregnant royal showed off her baby bump in a sweet family snap on Valentines Day. We also caught a glimpse of her belly during her infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“To have any one or any two, but to have a boy and then a girl—what more could you ask for?” Harry told the talk show queen.
But apart from that, very little is known is known about Meghan’s second pregnancy.
Here’s what we’ve gathered about her impending birth…
She’s a rainbow baby!
A ‘rainbow baby’ is a term used to describe a baby that is born after a miscarriage or stillbirth.
Meghan revealed she sadly had a miscarriage in an op-ed she wrote for the New York Times in November 2020.
She wrote; “After changing his diaper, I felt a sharp cramp. I dropped to the floor with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the cheerful tune a stark contrast to my sense that something was not right.
“I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second.
In a raw New York Times op-ed titled ‘The Losses We Share,’ Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, revealed she had a miscarriage in July 2020. She opened up about the grief of losing a child and stressed the importance of erasing the stigma of having a miscarriage. pic.twitter.com/8jkOax0lJP

The due date
According to Meghan & Harry, their daughter is due in summer (winter for South Africa), and with a visible baby bump, it means that she is most likely in her third trimester.
According to some reports, the bouncing baby girl could come as early as May!

The type of birth
According to Page Six, Meghan is hoping to steer clear of any media attention a hospital birth will attract, and instead labour at home.
A source told the publication; “Meghan’s plan was to have a home birth with Archie, but you know what they say about the best-laid plans. In the end, her doctors advised her to go to hospital and all she was interested in was about delivering Archie safely.
“But she has a beautiful home in California, it’s a beautiful setting to give birth to her baby girl.”
Meghan is also expected to take a lengthy ‘maternity leave’ after her birth, claims a friend.
The name + will she have a title?
It definitely won’t be Anne – if reports that Prince Harry’s aunt is behind the ‘racist comments’ are true!
According to bookie OddsMonkey, Allegra, Isabella, Alice, Abigail and of course Diana, are firm favourites.
As for a title – the couple revealed in their Oprah interview that Archie’s ‘birth right’ was reportedly taken away from him, so it’s likely this little one will also not share any royal privileges.
What we do know is that her last name will be Mountbatten-Winsor, just like her big brother’s.
However when Prince Harry’s father; Prince Charles ascends the throne in the future, both Archie and the baby girl will automatically become prince and princess, respectively.
That’s if Meghan and Harry still want them to be…
