Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss lost 10kg after gaining weight during lockdown.

Kandi told fans on Instagram that she had gained 10kg during lockdown last year which is what inspired her weight loss journey.

She shared that she was able to lose weight by avoid two foods as well as working out.

In an interview with HollywoodLife, Kandi revealed that one of the things that helped her achieve her weight loss was cutting out bread and desserts.

According to healthline.com, cutting out white bread from your diet can help with weight loss.

They revealed that a study found that eating two slices of white bread per day was linked to a 40% greater risk of weight gain and obesity.

The website also says that eating desserts is highly fattening and desserts such as ice cream can add a lot of extra calories to your meal.

Kandi avoided these meals as well as started working out, which really helped her melt off the pounds and get healthy.

The star may have lost the 10kg she gained during lockdown, but she says she wants to lose more. In a throwback photo, she can be seen with rock hard abs.
