A US family of six were found dead at their Texas home early Monday morning, in what has been described as a mass murder-suicide, local police say…
Allen Police Department’s Sgt. Jon Felty told NBC DSW that officers were called to perform a welfare check around 1AM at the home in Allen when they made the gruesome discovery.
The six bodies included a grandparent, two parents and three children all with gunshot wounds.
Its believed that brothers, who’d been suffering from depression, opted to take their family’s lives before taking their own in a bid to spare them the pain of losing them!
“It looks like two teenage sons entered into an agreement that they were going to commit suicide and that they were going to take their family members with them,” Felty said
In a lengthy letter posted on one of the brothers’ social media pages, it described how they arrived at their decision to take their family’s lives and then their own.
54-year-old Towhidul Islam and his wife 56-year-old Iren Islam were among those found along with 77-year-old grandmother Altafun Nessa; 21-year-old Tanvir Towhid; and 19-year-old twins Farbin Towhid and her brother Farhan Towhid.
The time of the murders is still unclear but evidence suggests it may have occurred this past Saturday. The investigation is ongoing.
