As we enter autumn, the country is still enjoying some warm days – perfect for a weekend braai…

While some provinces will experience morning fog and isolated showers, the majority of the weekend looks to be a warm one for most of the country.

Here are today’s predictions below:

1. Gauteng:

Morning fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but warm in the north.

The expected UVB sunburn index: Moderate

2. Mpumalanga:

Morning fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers. It will be warm in the lowveld.

3. Limpopo:

Morning fog patches in the southeast, otherwise partly cloudy and warm.

4. North-West Province:

Cool in places in the extreme south, otherwise fine and warm becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon.

5. Free State:

Morning fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east and south-east.

6. Northern Cape:

Cloudy along the coast with morning fog patches, otherwise fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-easterly but south-westerly from the afternoon.

7. Western Cape:

Morning fog patches along the west coast where it will be cloudy by the evening with light rain along the southwest coast, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot, but cool along the south coast.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north[1]westerly in the west, otherwise moderate to fresh easterly to north easterly becoming south-westerly from the afternoon.

8. Western Half Of The Eastern Cape:

Partly cloudy and cool to warm.

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly, becoming south-westerly by the evening.

9. Eastern Half Of The Eastern Cape:

Partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly, becoming south-westerly by the evening.

10. Kwazulu-Natal:

Warm in the north, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the east.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate easterly to north-easterly becoming in afternoon moderate south-easterly.
