The fifth installment of Real Housewives of Durban has had the country buzzing with excitement and the show has continued on its promise to bring us fireworks.

Fridays have changed in South Africa for the better, ever since Real Housewives of Durban launched on Showmax. These days, the end of the week is dedicated to a new episode of the spicy reality show which is based in one of South Africa’s hottest cities: the coastal paradise that is Durban. This week’s episode, the fifth in the season so far, had social media in a frenzy as fans debated some of the show’s key characters.

Why do people want Nonku and Ayanda to “fight”?

If there’s one recurring theme so far on the tasteful reality show, it has been the tension which many people have been feeling on behalf of Nonku Williams and Ayanda Ncwane. Although the two women didn’t meet on the most gracious of terms, things have been steadily improving in their respective lives and they have maintained a level of civil behaviour towards one another on the show.

After yet another episode without a confrontation, however, a number of social media users expressed their disappointment. But, as many asked, why should that be the case? It seems as if the clash which many eager viewers are anticipating is just not going to happen.

You may recall that during our exclusive interview with Ayanda Ncwane earlier this week, the music mogul revealed that she and Nonku had no animosity toward one another. She described their relationship as a mature and understanding one, when she said, “t was not a new thing. We’ve always known my husband’s daughter. And had met her before. They disappeared because her mother was married to someone else. Reuniting with her was such a God moment as I was worried that she never got to come to her father’s funeral and get some closure. “

Sorisha is the kind of friend we all deserve

Back to Episode 5 of Real Housewives of Hollywood – Sorisha Naidoo is another cast member who found herself trending once the episode dropped. Most notably, she was praised for being very definition of a “true friend” a number of times during the show.

This week’s episode from last week’s embarrassment, where Nonku’s Sommellier failed to turn up and his replacement ruined the evening. When Sorisha spoke about all that had gone down, however, she reacted with sympathy, and advised her fellow Housewives to stick up for one another when life gets difficult.

Many Tweeps were pleased to see the woman-on-woman upliftment from Mrs Naidoo.
