Have you been wondering how fitness queen Unathi Nkayi keeps her skin look oh so good? Well, you are not the only one.
The 42-year-old TV and radio personality has left many wondering for years how she makes her skin look so perfect.
In an Instagram post, Unathi revealed that fans have been asking her to share her skincare routine – and she finally has, thank goodness!
“SKIN CARE ROUTINE. Many of you have asked me to share my skin routine. It’s different but it works,” she started off the caption for the post.
The first tip Unathi mentioned is that she moisturises before her workouts. “I moisturise before I train. Every time,” she said.
She went on to say which product she uses, which is a Detox and Slimming Cream by Africology Skincare & Spa that she combines with Cellulite Oil.
Unathi also usually soaks in the bath after exfoliating her skin and keeps it moisturised with the Body Renewal Glow Moisturiser she likes applying before bed as well in order to hydrate her skin while she sleeps.
Here is her reason for moisturising after bathing and before she trains.
“I moisturise after a bath/shower AND before I train because that when the skins pores are most open. That is when WHATEVER product is used is absorbed the most because your pores are open.”
Unathi shared that this skincare routine has helped her to tighten her skin and get rid of dead skin cells after reducing the appearance of her stretch marks.
“After I reduced my stretch marks I found my skin was loose, dull and made me look older. This routine has tightened my skin, gets rid of all my dead skin cells, regenerates your skin cells and boosts renewal of skin cells quicker,” Unathi said.

She had previously revealed that she mixes methylated spirits, olive oil and aqueous cream to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.
“Olive oil, methylated spirit (yes the purple one we ALL grew up with) and aqueous cream are the ingredients I used. I mixed them together and deeply moisturised my skin twice a day. The spirit burns the marks and the olive oil deeply rehydrates the skin with the aqueous cream acting as the base keeping the liquids together. Mix the three together and enjoy watching getting your body back. Patience is key,” she wrote on Instagram.
Well, after finding out these awesome secrets you too can now glow like Unathi!
