Internationally adored actor Hugh Grant spoke out about an unfortunate incident in which his son stabbed himself in the face with a pen!

He did it in front of his tutor during a homeschooling lesson. According to Grant, the boy was frustrated by a particular maths question and didn’t know what to do.

The 60-year-old star of Notting Hill has taken his entire family with him to Turkey where he is set to film a movie.

In a SAG-AFTRA interview with Drew Barrymore, the star said “I’m here about to shoot a film. I bought my family to get them out of London Lockdown and I’ve been wallowing around in a pool with a three-year-old all day”.

The star has five beautiful children.

Three with his current wife Anna Eberstein, to whom he has been married for three years, and two with his former partner, Tinglan Hong.

The actor explains that in taking his children with him to Turkey, he has had to hire two local teenagers to come and homeschool them.

Hugh proceeds to tell Drew in the interview about the stabbing incident that took place during one of his son’s homeschooling lessons, “My son self-harmed himself in front of his young tutor today because he couldn’t do a basic bit of arithmetic – so he stabbed himself in the face with a Biro”.

It’s not clear from the interview which of Grant’s two sons took to self-harming. He has two sons with two different women. Both of the boys are eight years old. But only one of them lives with Grant and his wife Anna Eberstein.

Despite the anger and frustrations brought about by homeschooling, Hugh said that his family is enjoying their time together in turkey, while others left behind in the UK labour away under rainy weather.
