There’s fashion, crushes, scent and food. Taste is subjective, and one man’s meat can literally be another man’s poison

When it comes to food, there are some globally accepted combinations; like cheese and tomato, peanut butter and jam, baked beans and toast…

UK breakfast cereal brand Weetabix (enjoyed around the world with milk and fruit) shocked social media users in their bid to break into the savoury breakfast menu. Their collaboration with condiment giants Heinz even had the official account of the Victoria Police shaking.

Weetabix (Weet-Bix to us in SA) and baked beans? Now that’s an unlikely pair.

What do Weet-Bix and baked beans taste like?

Piers Morgan; a seasoned journalist, much braver than anyone on our team, tried the controversial combo live on Good Morning Britain, arguing that because Weetabix was just dry wheat, the combination wouldn’t be too different from baked beans on toast.

Without so much as a grimace, Piers swallowed down a bite full and declared this might just be the next beans on toast.

We certainly don’t agree, and we’re unlikely to find out for ourselves how the most controversial breakfast combo since pineapple on pizza tastes.

Although we’ll be looking at Piers Morgan differently since he gave the Weetabix and beans combo the thumbs up, a few of our favourite celebrities have even stranger food tastes.

Meghan Markle loves zucchini mush on pasta

We aren’t really sure what to call the former actress we used to call The Dutchess of Sussex and we are not sure how we feel about her cooking skills now that we know her favourite pasta topping is slowly boiled zucchini.

She described what happens after she boils zucchini for 4 to 5 hours as “filthy, sexy mush”. We’d rather she served us banana’s with inspirational messages written on them.

“So patronising!” – Duchess Meghan slammed for banana messages to sex workers

Channing Tatum’s PB&J surprise

Peanut butter and jelly or jam is a classic combination that is famously ruined by the king Rock and Roll Elvis Presley and the ever so dreamy Channing Tatum.

The hunky star admits to using way more jelly than usual for his special sandwiches and also, stuffing them with Cheetos. A combination we would hate to see and hate to try even more.
