Stolen goods and a truck worth more than R1 million were recovered when Limpopo police arrested four people on Thursday.

Officers received a tip-off about stolen goods being sold in a supermarket in Nirvana, Westenburg, outside of Polokwane.

Four people were arrested and an assortment of suspected stolen groceries valued at around R100 000 recovered inside the shop and in a truck trailer.

“The preliminary police investigations established that a truck loaded with groceries was allegedly hijacked at Delmas… and the groceries were then allegedly delivered at the supermarket,” police spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said.

The truck, valued at more than R900 000, was later recovered in the Bela-Bela policing area without the trailer.
