When Angela Conbeer from Stoke in the UK was diagnosed with bile duct cancer last April, she wrote a bucket list…
On the top of that list was to marry her sweetheart, Mark. The couple had been together for three years, and Angela wanted to spend her last days as Mark’s wife. Sadly, doctors told her that the cancer had spread throughout her body and it was terminal.
With no budget to spend, Angela’s friends secretly turned to Facebook. They approached the popular Don’t Dump It group – which is dedicated to recycling and reusing items, and asked its 26,000 members for help.
The Admin of the group even blocked Angela from seeing anything that was happening, so the wedding was a true surprise! The community of Plymouth opened their hearts to Angela, with offers flooding in for photos to food, and even an exquisite dress.
The surprise wedding took place on 16 January, when the couple said their vows in front of close family and friends.
Take a look at some of the images below from photographer Foto-Jenik who also gave up their time and skills for free to help Angela make her dream day come true.
