The Musks are a family of creative geniuses. From the richest man in the world and founder of tech giants to a restaurant entrepreneur and a movie mogul…

And now, a celebrated author!72-Year-old supermodel and mom of three, Maye Musk was interviewed on CBS This Morning on Monday to talk about her new book, A Woman Makes a Plan. The exquisite model penned the book about her life as a single mom raising three kids.

It includes nuggets of her “hard-earned wisdom and frank, practical advice on careers (the harder you work, the luckier you get), family (let those you love go their own way), health (there is no magic pill), adventure (make room for discovery, but always be ready for anything), and more.”

The title is a play on the Afrikaans saying, “ʼn boer maak ‘n plan.”

She says that while she knew Elon was a genius from the age of three, she worried that his skills might not end up with him achieving any sort of great success. This is what prompted her to support him and his siblings as much as she could in their endeavours.

Elon Musk (now 49) is the oldest of the three kids. He has a younger brother Kimbal (48) and a sister, Tosca (46). According to Maye, all of her kids discovered their passions while living in South Africa. She says Kimbal began cooking because he didn’t like the food she prepared “I’m not a great cook,” she admitted. And Tosca always loved watching movies and analysing them.
