Thursday, 14 January was rather special for a young man from Roodepoort as his favourite store threw him a birthday party filled with singing and dancing!
Over the past five years SPAR employees at Retail Crossing Shopping Centre have always made Brett Nash’s visits worthwhile.
On Thursday, 14 January, Brett marked his birthday with a visit to the store, where – to his delight – the managers and employees threw him a special party complete with cake, dancing and singing.
Brett’s mother, Tammy, shared her delight and thanks on Facebook, “You made his 17th birthday one none of us will ever forget,” she gushed. ““SPAR Retail Crossing, how can we ever thank you for what you do for our special boy. You never cease to make us [happy] with your love, time and energy with Brettie. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for all that you do.”
Brett suffers from a condition related to Distal Arthrogryposis, which is a disorder characterised by joint deformities (contractures) that restrict movement in the hands and feet. In an interview with Northsider two years ago, Tammy said Brett adores going to the store because of the natural love he receives from everyone.
