Trevor Noah is the epitome of living your dreams – just take a look at the multi-million-dollar homes which he has lived in since moving to America!
This past weekend saw Trevor Noah’s name trending on South African Twitter. Not because of any drama or controversy (unlike some of his friends this side…) but because the country was celebrating the massive, multi-million rand mansion which he had just purchased in the heart of Bel-Air, Los Angeles.
It seems as if since moving to the States back in 2015, Trevor Noah has been living the dream – figuratively, and literally. Just take a look at the beautiful houses and apartments which Trevor has had the pleasure of calling “home” over the last five years!
The first Manhattan Apartment, New York City – $10 Million
Back in 2017, Trevor Noah made his first property purchase when he bought himself a beautiful, penthouse apartment in Stella Towers, a building in the heart of the monied-up district of Manhattan. The duplex penthouse was an upgrade from his first apartment (a $15,000 per month rental in the same building) and boasted gorgeous views of the Big Apple. Perhaps most desirable about this apartment was the fact that it was only a few blocks away from The Daily Show’s studios which meant that Trevor could walk to work and back if he desired.
The bright and sunny apartment was designed with state-of-the-art finishes and had enough room for Trevor and any visitors he desired. It had three bedrooms, three full bathrooms and two half bathrooms.
The old Bel Air Mansion, Los Angeles – $20.5 Million
Two years after picking up the luxury apartment, Trevor Noah made his second American property purchase in 2019. This time, Trevor looked to the West Coast for his new home an fell in love with a gorgeous, $20 Million mansion in Bel-Air, Los Angeles. Bel-Air is easily one of the most expensive neighbourhoods in Los Angeles and is famous for housing some of the country’s (and indeed the world’s) richest and most recognisable celebrities. By the time he bought this home, Trevor certainly qualified as one!
The massive property boasted five bedrooms, eight bathrooms and covered a massive 929 square meters! The home featured gorgoues living spaces, a gourmet kitchen, a family room, a cigar room, a home theatre and many other luxurious features. After deciding he needed something different, Trevor sold the mansion in 2020, making a $1 million profit in the process.
The new Bel-Air Mansion, Los Angeles – $27.5 million
Not content with his previous residence, Trevor Noah put pen to paper on a deal that saw him purchase an even bigger, better and more beautiful home in the same affluent neighbourhood as his previous mansion. The comedian made the purchase within the first few days of 2021, making South Africans proud in the process!
The new mansion overlooks the famous Bel-Air country club and has been described as an “iconic architectural statement”. The home is fitted with several premium materials including stone, wood, bronze and glass and boasts floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows. It also includes a wine cellar, a spa, a screening room, a rooftop terrace, an outdoor bar and an infinity pool. Despite spending close to half a billion Rands on this home, Trevor actually got it on a cut-price deal! Back when it first hit the market three years ago, the mansion was worth $36 million but has dropped in value since then.
Take absolutely nothing away from its stunning features though!
