Brackenfell police are investigating a case of robbery after jewellery was stolen from a mall in Cape Town on Sunday.
The value of the stolen jewellery was not disclosed.
Five suspects – two of who were armed with firearms – entered the Cape Gate mall at about 07:00.
They then accosted a security guard before heading to their desired location.
CCTV footage of the incident shows three of the men forcing their way into the store by breaking a window.
“They took an undisclosed amount of jewellery and fled the scene in a grey Toyota Quest,” Western Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana said in a statement.
Police have asked members of the public for any information that could lead to the assailants’ arrest.
