The Duchess of Cambridge recently turned 39, commemorating the event by sharing an encouraging message to the healthcare workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic…

This selflessness is typical of one of our favourite royals. Duchess Catherine is always poised, compassionate, and exemplifies the style and grace of her prominent public role.

The mom of three is also very ‘real’.

Throughout the pandemic, she has commiserated with those who have lost loved ones, shared encouraging messages to those who are working hard to combat the virus, and used her position to support the public wherever possible.

  1. She was born Catherine Elizabeth Middleton on 9 January 1982
  2. She married her prince charming, married Prince William at Westminster Abbey in April 2011.
  3. The couple have three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis
  4. Their official royal residence is at Kensington Palace
  5. She devotes her time to supporting a number of charitable causes and organisations, several of which are centred around providing children with the best possible start in life
  6. She initiated a steering group to look at what can be done to make a positive difference to the lives of children, by focussing on their earliest stage of life, from pre-birth to 5 years of age.
  7. The Duchess of Cambridge is also a committed champion of issues related to children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing.
  8. In 2017 The Duchess championed the Heads Together mental health campaign with The Duke of Cambridge and The Duke of Sussex.
  9. Duchess Catherine enjoys a number of sports and loves spending time outdoors. Her Royal Highness’s passion for sport, nature and the outdoors stems from her own experience and enjoyment of playing tennis and hockey and sailing from a young age.
  10. She’s a keen photographer and is extremely supportive of the arts. In March 2018 The Duchess became the first Royal Patron of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The Patronage reflects Her Royal Highness’s interest in the visual arts, photography, design and textiles.
