Covax is the “is the vaccines pillar of the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator’. According to the WHO, “It is the only truly global solution to this pandemic because it is the only effort to ensure that people in all corners of the world will get access to COVID-19 vaccines once they are available, regardless of their wealth.”
As of Sunday, South Africa had 1 231 597 active cases. The country also reported 339 more deaths, with 113 deaths in the Western Cape.
This brings the total deaths to 33 163.
