For most moms, one of the biggest fears is that you won’t make it in time to hospital to welcome your baby into the world. But as we know, babies have their own schedule, and it certainly doesn’t always involve with you arriving at the hospital in a car.
According to a news report, a woman had to give birth to her baby on a small plane while flying over Alaska earlier this month.
It’s reported that Chrystal Hicks lives in a small village in Alaska, and was able to drive to the hospital in Anchorage for the birth of her previous three children without a problem. But this time round, her baby had other plans. Apparently, she started having contractions at 35 weeks, and they got so severe, that emergency personnel had to arrange for her to fly to the hospital 300km from her home.
Unfortunately, her baby had no intention of waiting, and the mom is reported to have given birth only 20 minutes into the flight.
To remind her of her ordeal, and her baby of his unusual entrance into the world, Chrystal has named her baby Sky.
Suffice to say, we do hope this baby grows up to love flying because we certainly don’t think he’s scared of heights!
