It might only be day seven of 2021, but Cassper Nyovest has already won the new year thanks to a sweet gesture he performed for a fan.
Times are tough right now across the country. With no end to the national lockdown in sight, South Africans are finding it difficult to keep afloat, make an income and just generally get by. That’s not even including some of life’s small luxuries like being able to buy new clothes. So you can imagine how much it meant to one particular fan when Cassper Nyovest decided to bless him by donating some of his old designer threads to him.
Cassper makes a fan’s dream come true
Cassper Nyovest might not be struggling in the same way that some of his fans might be, but he certainly knows a thing or two about the need to give back. He proved it once again this week after one of his loyal Tsibipians (the nickname given to Cassper fans) took a chance on the timeline and asked if the Nokuthula hitmaker might have some threads to spare.
As it turns out, it was that user’s lucky day. Cassper not only noticed the request, but duly obliged. The tweep in question wrote, “Ola Boss Cassper Nyovest i really need your help Bru with your old clothes please” to which Cassper replied “Where do you live ? Ima Dm you right now. I’m sure I could help a lil bit”
The move certainly warmed hearts of fans who replied to Cassper by applauding him for not shaming the poor tweep and deciding to show some humility by helping during his time of need.
Cassper’s philanthropic history
Although celebrities are renowned for their lavish ways, some of them do take the time to show support to their loyal fans during times of need and Cassper is no exception. Over the years, Mufasa has come to the rescue a number of times.
Most notably, in 2017 Cassper Nyovest made headlines after he donated R100,000 to the #FeesMustFall cause where students were demanding that universities make their fees accessible to the majority of learners in South Africa. One student took a picture with the rapper and captioned it, “Mama,I made it! Happy belated” pun intended. Thank you @CassperNyovest
For planting the seed towards our education. The kids are going to school.”
Although it’s not an everyday thing, when Cassper does give, it certainly makes a difference in the lives of his fans.
