Former Miss SA Claudia Henkel has revealed that she tested positive for Covid-19
She shared the terrible news in a video she posted on her Instagram page.
“The Truth -Covid 19 This is NOT a sympathy video! I’m scared, I’m sore but I’m grateful twins are ok My sister @nixihenkel is my saving grace, running the house. Please South Africa, I know it’s summer and holidays but take COVID-19 seriously, being cautious during this time will allow you to have many more celebrations in the future,” she captioned the video.
Claudia revealed in the video that she started having excruciating body aches, headache and a very high fever. She also said she had been very cautious because of her twins and doesn’t know how she contracted the virus.
“The scary part is that I have been really cautious because of the twins and this virus is just something we don’t understand and I don’t know how or when I picked it up.”
Claudia gave her fans an update and shared another video recently. On day six, she said she was still very tired and sleeps a lot and has body aches, headache and had started coughing.
She also opened up about how having the virus has affected her psychologically.
“The psychological impact is pretty harsh because I can hear my twins downstairs playing and swimming and I can’t be with them. Like I just wanna squeeze them, squeeze their little faces, but I know that soon it will happen.”
Claudia said getting the virus made her experience how bad it really is.
“You don’t know what this is like until you get it…until you get it you don’t really understand the actual implications.”
“Wear your damn mask and if you’re feeling sick don’t go out,” she ended the video.
Get well soon Claudia!
