2020 Has been difficult for many but there are a few celebrities who kept winning despite the challenges of this year

These celebrities – and fashionistas – have inspired us with their drive and ambition and proved to us that the sky really is the limit.

Boity Thulo

Boity is proud of her curves and sure knows how to flaunt them and comes with a lot of sass and style.

Where do we even begin when it comes to Boity and her numerous achievements in 2020? The musician and entrepreneur really won this year and did some amazing things that really made us proud.

Her latest achievement is releasing her new EP 4436, and she has also launched her own ethnic haircare range which is designed to moisturise, repair and protect natural hair.

We are not done yet – Boity also launched her own perfume in spring, Boity Pink Sapphire, which is for ‘strong, powerful and confident women’.

Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida

One of the first Venda women to become Miss South Africa, Shudufhadzo Musida has beauty, brains and style.

Her fashion sense is on-point and loves to slay in African-inspired items that make her the African queen that she is.
Shudufhadzo’s biggest achievement in 2020 has to be becoming Miss South Africa.

She has been trolled because of her unique look, but the confident beauty showed that she is a true leader and has taken it all in her stride and we love that she does not conform to society’s ideals and expectations.

She is an advocate for many different things including education, economic empowerment and mental health awareness. Despite having such a hectic schedule, she still makes time to workout and take care of her physical health.

Rachel Kolisi

Rachel is also a real fashionista and we love her laid-back style and we were so excited when our fave won the Most Stylish Couple award at the SA Style Awards 2020.

Rachel Kolisi not only inspired us, but she also entertained us in 2020 with her funny posts on social media.

From making us LOL over her hilarious videos or dance-offs with Siya to sharing her Christmas decorating chaos, you cannot help but love her witty personality.

She recently featured on Magnify magazine and was also on the cover of The Bay Mag, Good Housekeeping and Balanced Life this year.

She really inspired us this when she shared her weight loss journey after falling off the fitness wagon and putting on weight during hard lockdown.

Bonang Matheba

2020 was Queen B’s year and she has proven to be a real fashion icon as she has given us one hot look after another.

With the year nearly over Bonang is still winning and has just been named GQ’s ‘Woman of the Year and we can’t say we are surprised.

From having her own TV show to launching her ‘new baby’ the BNG Nectar, Bonang has really inspired us and her ambition knows no bounds.


DJ Zinhle

DJ Zinhle has her own unique style when it comes to fashion and music – and we love her fashion sense.


She flies our South African flag high locally and abroad and has made a name for herself as one of the top female DJs around.

DJ Zinhle has gone from being one of the first well-known female DJs to being a successful entrepreneur.

She recently launched her sunglasses range, EraVision, and also has a jewellery range, is into home decor and the CEO of Boulevard Rosé. Winning indeed!
