It’s thunderstorm season. Massive thunderstorms, hailstorms and showers have hit parts of South Africa recently…

According to reports from the South African Weather Service, the storms aren’t going to let up just yet. The service has issued another Yellow (L2) warning for the extreme east of North West, north-eastern Free State, Gauteng, southern Highveld of Mpumalanga as well as northern and north-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

The service is predicting thunderstorms “that can result in possible hail leading to localised damage to vehicles, damaging winds and heavy downpours that may result in localised flooding.”

There were also warnings about the possible damage to infrastructure and settlements and localised injuries due to flying debris.
