Some of these celebrity parents have spent close to (or even over!) R100,000 on their baby’s strollers proving that there’s no price too high for their little ones.

Many celebs have bursting bank accounts, so it makes sense that when they become parents, they spend more on their children than the average guardian would (or could). Although when you take a look at some of the spending, you can be forgiven for feeling just a little bit dizzy.

This time, the focus is on strollers.

New celebrity dad, Cassper Nyovest had the country in a state of shock after we discovered how much he paid for his son’s first stroller. For some, that amount of money could have paid for a deposit on a brand new car; for others still, it could have bought an entire car!

Cassper is not the only one in this bracket; a number of local and international celebs have splashed out on luxury rides for their newborns. Here’s a quick look at a few of the most expensive baby prams in recent history

Cassper Nyovest

As we mentioned above, Cassper Nyovest spared no expense for his son’s first ever push chair. According to sources, this particular brand of stroller costs somewhere in the region of R32,000. Yikes!

Beyonce Knowles-Carter

When Beyonce and Jay Z welcomed their twins back in 2017, much of the conversation was around the amount of money that Jay Z dropped on kitting their babies out. This included a matching pair of $3,600 (R56,000!) strollers. Take that to the bank!

Ntando Mthethwa-Kunene

While Ntando and Khaya Mthethwa were still together, the first time parents made sure that their son wanted for absolutely nothing. This included the purchase of a luxury stroller which set them back a cool R11,000.

Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner is another member of the luxury push-chair gang. Her baby Stormi rode around in a pricey Fendi stroller which costs around $10,000 (R155,000!). That’s a deposit on a beautiful apartment here in South Africa.

Kenny Kunene

The king of lavish spending (and the king of sushi…) managed to splurge over R80,000 on a stroller for his son Romeo. In fact, this push chair was no ordinary stroller – it had to be taken to a car wash when it was time to clean it up. Levels!
