CBD oil is fast becoming one of the worlds most popular homoeopathic medicines

CBD oil has documented and proven applications for both mental and physical wellbeing. Even so many people are still sceptical about using CBD oil. Fourfivecbd founders Dom and George, share 5 questions you should ask yourself when considering CBD.

Are you a candidate for CBD?

Although there are many health benefits to using CBD oil, it isn’t a recognised cure or substitute for prescribed medicines.

The ideal candidate for CBD oil is someone who is in good health.

“The perfect candidate for the use of CBD oil is a person who is health-conscious, active and interested in trying new things. There are a lot of people who work 9 to 5 or want to go for a jog after work or play squash. Anyone who has an active lifestyle is a candidate, essentially,” says fourfivecbd.

Which strength is best for me?

There are different strengths and types of CBD oils. Choosing the right one will depend on your needs and what you want to get out of using the oils.

“Our oils come in 2 different strengths and 2 different flavours, designed for each individual and their different needs. The different strengths include 500mg and 1,000mg CBD . Both strengths are ideal for beginners to more advanced users for everyday use, much like a multivitamin or other supplement,” they say.

“If you are new to CBD use, we recommend you start with our lower strength CBD products. We’ve classed our products as lower, medium and higher strength to help you easily navigate the range. We also let you know exactly how many milligrams there are within each bottle so you can choose to your specification.”

How do I know which product is best for me?

There are different strengths and types of CBD oils. Choosing the right one will depend on your needs and what you want to get out of using the oils.

“Our oils come in 2 different strengths and 2 different flavours, designed for each individual and their different needs. The different strengths include 500mg and 1,000mg CBD . Both strengths are ideal for beginners to more advanced users for everyday use, much like a multivitamin or other supplement,” they say.

Aside from the strengths of CBD oil, there is also the option of taking it in a form other than drops of oil.

fourfivecbd say how you take the CBD oil can affect its effect on you.

For a slower-releasing and longer-lasting effect we would suggest our capsules. We’ve created our capsules for people who want to experience the benefits of CBD for a more prolonged period. They are perfect for taking before work to get those CBD benefits throughout your busy day, or, for helping you stay healthy and active. CBD capsules are exactly what they sound like—a hearty dose of CBD in a small, swallowable package.”

“For anything external and skin-related CBD muscle rubs are what you’re looking for. It has been formulated with menthol which helps to cool aching muscles, aid the recovery of inflammation and soothe general aches and pains,” they add.

 Is CBD oil legal?

Yes, CBD is legal. It has also been a permitted substance on professional athlete’s drug tests, listed by WADA and Global Dro, since January 2018. While CBD is legal throughout the SA, we still recommend caution when travelling with it. When travelling outside of SA it is strongly recommended not bringing your CBD oil.

How does CBD oil work in the body?

The ECS is the body’s main regulatory system and is associated with CBD. The ECS is made up of two main receptors, cb1 and cb2. The ECS is also involved in mediating some of the physiological and cognitive effects of voluntary physical exercise.

Cb1 receptors are concentrated in the brain, and central nervous system whilst the Cb2 receptors are mainly found in the immune system. Between them, they influence many things including sleep, thinking, and appetite.

Our body produces small amounts of cannabinoids to pass through cb1 and cb2 receptors to try to maintain a healthy balance, but usually, our bodies need more cannabinoids than it can produce. CBD can help your ECS naturally produce more of its cannabinoids to regulate your body and support a healthy body.
