Released to coincide with the US 2020 elections, the lyrics highlight the importance of women speaking out and choosing the path for their future…
“A Beautiful Noise” was co-written by Alicia Keys and Brandi Carlile together with six other women, and if the words don’t give you goosebumps, you better listen again. The other writers include Brandy Clark, Linda Perry, Lori McKenna, Ruby Amanfu, Hailey Whitters and Hillary Lindsey.
While it was written to encourage voters to head to the polls, the anthem’s words are applicable to women worldwide.
The first verse highlights the importance of women coming together to make their voices heard:

“The evolution of ‘A Beautiful Noise’ represents a group of incredible women from all different walks of life coming together with a universal message of hope and empowerment,” Said Brandi Carlile said in a statement.
Alicia Keys noted, “This song has that special energy that we really need to feel right now. Everyone has the power to make beautiful noise and to lift others up with their voice. And now more than ever, we need to let those voices be heard by voting.”
